Instructor Certification Retreat: June 12-16 at the Rhythm

American Aqua Natal is a comprehensive fitness program that blends
midwifery and childbirth preparation with breathing, dance, visualization,
swimming, relaxing and yoga. Pregnant women benefit from the buoyancy
of water, by toning their muscles and limbering their joints with
minimum stress. They experience an easing of the common discomforts
of pregnancy, circulation improves, swelling reduces, and mobility
increases.
If you like to be with women during their pregnancy, know how to
swim, and have a CPR card, You have what you need to enter the American
AquaNatal instructor certificate program. The Instructor Certification
offers 20 continuing educational hours (CEUs), and consist of six
days of training that covers the Basic and Advanced American AquaNatal
Courses.

The format is that of an educational retreat with time for introspection,
fun in the water and in the circle. Students will learn in detail
the American Aqua Natal routine, explore basic holistic concepts
and benefits of the method, receive personalized teaching tips,
attention and feedback. The group is limited to 12 participants.
Class starts 9am on Wednesday June12th to Sunday the 16th 4pm.
Food and lodging at the Rhythm Ranch may be arranged for an additional

Location: The Rhythm Ranch is an exclusive Wellness Center, in Corona,
Southern California, offering Healing Arts and Rhythm based activities.
It is serenely located in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains,
surrounded by national forest and organic orchards. The center has
a 20 foot diameter natural (salt system) hot spring pool, used for
Watsu (aquatic bodywork), an outdoor gym, sauna, meditation garden,
a music gathering room, massage center and plenty of good vibration...Next
door is a spiritual Community, Emissaries of Divine Light and Glen
Ivy Hot Spring Spa ($25-$35 entrance fee, open hours 9am-6pm)

The
Facilitator: Marina Alzugaray is a revered midwife with extensive
background in dance and yoga. She has taught prenatal exercises
in Santa Barbara, California for many years. She is very charismatic,
warm and has a special connection with the dolphins. Marina is the
founder and director of the American Aqua Natal association and
an international speaker and pioneer of waterbirth.

Infant Aquatics Workshop with Vera Garibaldi
Vera will attanding the AquaNatal class and is considering offering
a 1 day Infant Aquatics Workshop for anyone that is interested,
either on the Monday June 17th, following the AAN workshop or the
Sunday before June 9th. If you are interested and would like more

She could focus on birth to 6 months or offer a more general course
on working with birth to 1 year. If you would like to attend this
workshop please let us know ASAP, your preferred date and what ages
babies you want to learn to work with.
About the Facilitator: Vera Garibaldi, is a National Swim School Association and Swim America conference speaker, Instructor Trainer and successful swim school owner specializing in teaching infants, toddlers and their parents the joys and pleasures of being in water. She has produced a home instructional video titled” Bathtub Babies” and my Aquatics program is the largest Parent / Tot program in the Northwest, teaching over 450 infants and toddlers per quarter. She uses a gentle loving approach to introduce these children to the water while teaching basic swim skills and water safety using songs, games and parents as the main handler of their child.
